5. South Fork
Who doesn’t love a breathtaking ride? Aren’t we out here for the views, anyway? South Fork won’t let you down. With 225 miles of varying terrain and well-groomed trails, even inexperienced riders can make their way out to catch the 12,000 foot vistas that overlook some of Colorado’s most beautiful scenery.
4. Greater Gunnison Area
Zip in and around the many mountain towns surrounding small-town Gunnison. Use the well-known mountain passes to see some of Colorado’s beautiful wilderness areas and cap off your day in the outdoors with a dip into the Waunita Hot Springs so you can warm up after spending all day out in that fresh powder.
3. Meeker
Calling all experienced snowmobilers! Leave those novices at home when you hit the Meeker trails. Up to 180 miles of trails are left as close to nature as possible, so you can get up close and personal with Colorado’s infinite beauty. These trails aren’t maintained for inexperienced riders, so gather up your snowmobile-enthusiast friends and head on out.
2. Steamboat Springs
We couldn’t leave out the champagne powder of snowmobile trailers, could we? Steamboat Springs has everything you need for a week of snow vacation. Hit the trails in the morning and get a taste of lux nightlife at Steamboat’s renowned ski-resorts. Get your adventure fix and top it off with a 5-star meal when you’ve warmed up from your day on the trails.
1. Vail
It’s not a top 5 list without Vail, is it? Feast your eyes upon the incredible views of Colorado’s 14,000 foot peaks and trails that will take your right along the Continental Divide. Choose between guided trails or testing your solo-skills; whatever your choice, you’ll find all you’re looking for in a full day of snowmobiling.
