Following a regular maintenance schedule ensures that your ATV will run smoothly and safely every time you take it out for a spin. Whether it’s cleaning the air filter or replacing a spark plug, make sure to refer to your ATV operator’s manual for specific instructions regarding your model.
Maintenance to perform every 100 hours (or 600 miles):
- Clean air cleaner
- Inspect and make any necessary repairs to the air cleaner housing draining tube
- Inspect all spark plugs; replace or clean if necessary
- Replace engine oil and engine oil filter
- Inspect radiator coolant and top off if necessary
- Inspect brake fluid and top off if necessary
- Clean the spark arrester
Maintenance to perform every 200 hours (or 1200 miles):
- Clean air cleaner
- Inspect and make any necessary repairs to the air cleaner housing draining tube
- Inspect all spark plugs; replace or clean if necessary
- Replace engine oil and engine oil filter
- Inspect radiator coolant and top off if necessary
- Inspect brake fluid and top off if necessary
- Inspect the wear on brake pads and shoes; replace if necessary
